Since 1946, Sothys has represented French excellence in professional treatments for beauty institutes and spas. Sothys, a brand that remains exclusively professional for over 75 years.
One of the original beauty institute and spa brands, was created in 1946 during the new wave of French beauty. Under the leadership of Dr Hotz, a spa treatment visionary and a keen Egyptologist, the first formulas were developed in 1946. Sothys, the name of a beautiful star from the legends of the Pharaohs, became the name of the brand.
Sothys favours recyclable materials whenever possible and strives to make identification and sorting easier. The brand has also proudly partnered with Plastic Bank® and Tenaka to help fight plastic pollution and regenerate coral reefs.
Research and Innovation from the Heart of Corrèze
Established in 2007, the Jardins Sothys™ are a preserved plant setting nestled in Auriac, Corrèze, near Cantal and situated within a Natura 2000 protected area. Located in the ancestral land of the Mas family, this botanical oasis serves as a fertile ground for innovation and creativity, inspiring the natural active ingredients and revolutionary formulations of Sothys cosmetic products.
An hour outside these enchanting gardens, Sothys' Soredec Laboratory serves as the brand's advanced research centre and is staffed by 28 expert biologists, chemists, and beauty therapists. Every year, the brand introduces around 35 innovative new formulas and 15 new makeup products, all inspired by nature and backed by science.
